Bo Lings Chinese Restaurant
April 9th, 2008Bo Lings is one of the top-rated Chinese restaurant in Kansas City. It was included in the top ten list of great Chinese dining spots of USA Today, hailed as one of the Top 100 Chinese Restaurants in the US by the Chinese Restaurant News, and recognized as the Best Chinese Restaurant in Kansas City by KC Magazine. Opened in 1981, Bo Lings boasts of using the freshest ingredients to create authentic Chinese and Thai dishes. This Kansas City restaurant currently has a branches in Zona Rosa, Main Street, and City Market. There are also two locations on Overland Park, Kansas and another one in Lenexa.
Bo Lings’ extensive menu features an array of classic Chinese dishes such as noodles, dumplings, spring rolls, moo shu, and stir-fried vegetables. There’s also a wide variety of chicken, pork, beef, and seafood dishes which are all richly laden with Oriental flavor. Although striving to maintain flavorful taste of its dishes, this Kansas City restaurant does not use MSG in most of its sauces and entrees.
The City Market location of Bo Lings has a Happy Hour on Tuesdays-Fridays 4-6pm and the whole day of Monday-Sunday. During Happy Hour, selected appetizers are available for only $4 and beers are sold for $2-2.50. Diners can also have wine by the glass and martinis for only $5. Bo Lings’ wine list features New World red and white wines from California, Washington, Australia, and New Zealand. They usually cost $16-20. Wines from Napa and Northern Italy are a little more expensive at $25-26.
