The Q Hotel and Spa
The Q Hotel and Spa located in Westport Road, Kansas City was formerly known as The Quarterage Hotel. After the renovation of this historic hotel, The Quarterage was re-launched as an environment-friendly accommodation aiming for sustainability and corporate responsibility. The Q Hotel and Spa uses energy-efficient appliances, Green Seal-approved products, promotes in-room recycling, and implements water conservation techniques.
This green Kansas City hotel also provides hybrid vehicles in its shuttle service and six bicycles for the use of guests. Eco-friendly bathroom amenities are also provided. Even the hotel lounge offers organic wine and the coffee shop serves organic coffee certified by the Fairtrade Foundation and approved by the Rainforest Alliance. The Q Hotel and Spa has 123 guest rooms which are decorated in relaxing aqua hues, artwork, and new carpeting. Flat TVs and Ipod/MP3 players are provided as well. The suites are furnished with a Jacuzzi tub while some rooms have a balcony that overlooks a great view of the historic Westport district. The hotel also offers complimentary breakfast and free drinks in the evening. Guests can also avail of free wi-fi and use of computers in the hotel lobby.
The day spa in this Kansas City hotel offers rejuvenating treatments such as the Swedish massage, hot stone therapy, manicure, and pedicure. While the Q Hotel and Spa doesn’t have an on-site fitness center, it makes up for this by providing guests with free access to the nearby Gold’s Gym.
